For more than two decades as a woman surgeon and a surgeon mom; as a mentor, colleague, and friend; and as a public speaker, healthcare consultant and leader in academic medicine, I have had the opportunity to encourage a diverse array of health professionals to craft a reality that works for them or their healthcare teams.
